TURNING POINT OF LIFE
Once upon a time
there was a man named Varun. He was poor but he was very hard working person.
He helped everybody and everybody loved him. He wanted to become rich but
without doing any bad thing. Many people loved, cared and praised him. He lived
in a small village named Aurunganabad. He did small works to carry out his
living. Sometimes he worked in his field, sometimes he sold the milk obtained
from his cow. His cow was thin and gave little milk. He fed on that milk
mainly, sometimes if the milk was more than usual, he sold that milk.
One day he had a
sudden need of money. He tried hard to arrange money but was unable. So he
decided to sell his cow. The next morning he started his journey towards the
city with his cow. While he was returning, with the sum of money, from a
distance he saw few robbers surrounding an old man. He had a cart which had
goods. They asked the merchant for the cart. On his refusal they attacked him
and took his cart.
Varun saw all this
and he quickly went to merchant. The merchant was faint. He took him to nearest
hospital. As they reached the hospital, he was quickly given treatment. He had
cuts on his back, arms and legs. Doctor after analysing him said to Varun that
he was alive, but had lost a lot of blood. There were less chances of his
survival. Doctor said that he had to be quickly operated, only after operation
it can be said that would he survive or not. Doctor also said that it would be
an expensive operation. Varun had no money except for the money he had gained
from selling the cow. He needed that money very much for himself, but he
thought saving one’s life is more important than his needs, so he paid all his
bills. After operation doctor said that it was a successful operation and he
would survive and recover in a few days.
After a week, his condition
was better. Varun was with him all the time. He opened his eyes, first time
after the attack on him.
He was a bit
confused about himself, where he was, who brought him to the hospital. He
remembered everything till the attack on him and that was a good thing. Doctors
told him that a young man named Varun is brought him there and he is paying all
of his bills. The merchant, on hearing this was in surprise than a stranger has
shown such a great amount of affection to him. He eagerly wanted to meet Varun.
Varun at that point of time was out for buying some medicines for him. When he returned, he was told that his
patient was again in his senses. On hearing this Varun was very happy and he
ran to meet him.
When they both were
introducing to each other, then Varun came to know that his name was Sohan, he
was a poor farmer. He had a daughter named Shital. She was beautiful and good
mannered, but due to poor conditions of her family, no one agreed to marry her.
Everyone asked for a great amount of dory which the poor farmer was not able to
pay. Finally a family agreed to accept Shital as their daughter in law without
any dory. They had only one condition, and that was they wanted the marriage to
happen within 14 days and with great festivity. He was poor and would be unable
to arrange everything in such little time, but he happily agreed. The date of
marriage was finalized. Everyone was very happy but there was less time for
celebrations as the preparations had to be started. He decided to sell his
entire furniture and everything else he had to arrange money.
He loaded his
entire furniture and went to market to sell them. In the way the robbers of a
well known gang, “SCORPIAN GANG” came and looted him. After narrating this
story Sohan became to cry. He said that he had no right to live as he is such a
bad father that he was unable to organise the marriage of his daughter. Varun
comforted him by saying he would do something in that
matter. In the reply of this, Sohan said that he was given 14 days, out of
which one weak is passed in hospital, in rest one weak they he had to do all the
arrangements, without money. Varun promised him that would do anything but make
his daughter’s marriage occur on any condition.
After a few hours Sohan was discharged from the
hospital. Varun dropped him to his home and repeated his promise.
Varun went to the area where the incident happened. He
asked many people about the gang. Everyone hearing their name tried to escape
from the talk. By the end of the day he came up with a little piece of
information.
He came to know that this gang is the biggest form of
terrorism. It was a large group of robbers which had conquered a fort nearby.
This fort belonged to a strong king of that area. They made the fort as their
head office after the capture. They upgraded this fort with latest defences,
arms and with every other technology which could be used in a great battle.
Since the day of capture, whole area faced a great hard time. Many kings fought
wars with them, but were defeated. They continuously grew in number. The only
way to defeat them was by using their own fort against them, which was not
possible. A very strong king Arun was after them. They both were bitter enemies of each other. Robbers
and ARUN had 2 wars but robbers won both.
The next day Varun
went to meet ARUN. On the way he found one more robbery happening. Robbers of
SCORPIAN GANG were looting a shop. After the robbers had left he went there. He
was glad to find no one injured. Then he changed his plan and quietly followed
the robbers. Soon robbers went into a dense evergreen forest. Varun followed
them. The area was covered with many lakes. Due to these lakes the place was
humid. Slowly Varun came to know why the robbers were unbeatable and why the
depended so much on their fort. The fort was located on a high hill. A large
area near the fort was cleared to prevent the risk of any hid enemy. The hill
was small and all the area of the hill was covered by the Giant fort. The fort
covered a very large area and had high walls.
He also heard them talking about the powers of
the fort. It had several layers of walls. Each layer closed several defences.
The inner most wall closed the all the gold, goods etc they looted and the
control room. These walls had big, heavy and unbreakable, metal doors to go
through the walls. Each layer had only one door. The doors etc were controlled
from the control room. The fort was surrounded by traps. These traps always
destroy more than half of the army of the attacker. Rest of the job was done by
the defensive system of the fort. They used highly developed explosives and the
humid conditions of the place exempted them from worrying about any fire. No
one can plan an attack by hiding in the lakes as most of these lakes had
crocodiles. The rest of them had deadly traps laid by the robbers.
Varun saw robbers
going inside safely so he drew a map to safely enter the fort. He also heard
robbers talking about a big crack in first three layers of the fort. These
cracks were result of the wars with ARUN. Arun lost that war but was able to
escape alive. The robbers said the crack would be fixed within about 5 days.
Due to rapids wars, the material and workers needed for the repair cannot
be easily taken to the fort. Varun, while
remaining in the jungle, tried to find the crack in the outermost layer. He
found it and marked it on the map.
Suddenly he slipped
and fell over a stone. He heard loud noises of alarms. Suddenly few explosives
were launched from the fort. He began to run. The place where he was standing
earlier was destroyed, the x-bows fixed at the trees were activvated and Varun
had to face arrows which were launched from almost all the trees. He was able
to save his life but he was badly injured. He ignored his wounds and directly
went to court of ARUN. First he was not allowed in, later the made it to him.
He told him everything he saw. They both together made plans of destroying the
robbers. ARUN asked Varun to have rest and let his wounds heal. He refused and
said that if he would delay then Sohan would kill himself. Arun promised to pay
all the money required for marriage.
